Garda

Where to eat in Garda away from the busy lakeside

Garda is not only about the lakeside: just above the centre, there is a quieter way to enjoy dinner among greenery, hospitality and seasonal cooking.

When people think of Garda, they often imagine the lake, the lakeside promenade and the lively centre. It is a beautiful part of town, bright and full of movement. But it is not the only way to enjoy dinner in Garda.

Sometimes you may be looking for something different: less noise, more space, a table where you can really slow down. Le Rasole is just outside the centre, in Via San Bernardo 151, on the road that rises towards the hills. We do not have a lake view, and we like to say that honestly. What we do have is something many guests find just as precious: quiet, fresh air, greenery and time to enjoy the table properly.

Our cooking follows the season and the local area. The menu changes with the garden, small producers, the market, the lake and the wood fire. We do not try to offer a standard tourist menu that stays the same all year. We prefer a living menu, one that changes with the seasons and tells the place in a simple way.

Eating away from the busy lakeside does not mean leaving Garda behind. It means discovering a quieter, greener side of it: less immediate perhaps, but very authentic. A side made of silence, hospitality, well-chosen wine and dishes designed to accompany the evening without hurry.

For those looking for a restaurant in Garda where dinner can be enjoyed calmly, Le Rasole is exactly this: a green, peaceful place close to the lake but away from the noise, where the centre is only a few minutes away and dinner can take the time it deserves.
